Settling In 

We know that starting pre-school is an important milestone for your child and your family. We believe that each child is unique and therefore it is important to us to ensure this learning journey is individually tailored to each child and (you) their family. 

 

Before your child starts their journey with Sutton St James Pre-school, we will organise a settling in session at a time that suits. This session will last approximately an hour and is a chance for your little one to get to know their new friends and pre-school environment. Families will get to meet their child’s key worker and ask any questions regarding starting pre-school. 

 

During this settling in session, we will look to form a family plan that will consider gradual starting and finishing times, settling in comforters, your child’s current routine at home and how we can mimic this to enable your child to feel safe, secure and happy.
